Types of Roll Film

The film roll on an analog camera is used to store your photos. The first roll of film was made by Kodak in 1934. Until now, the types of film have developed quite a lot and there are various sizes. Generally one roll of film contains 36 frames, yep! Very limited, unlike digital cameras. That's why you need to think carefully before taking photos. Types:

1. Black and white films

This film is black and white film and usually there is grain in the photos. For the photo printing process, BW film is the type of film that is easiest to print with developer liquid and other materials that are quite easy to find. Examples of films and their price range:

2. Color film / negative film

This type of film is a type of film that is sold quite a lot and has very distinctive colors. In fact, some say that some filters in applications such as VSCO cam or Instagram are inspired by this color film. Meanwhile, the printing process is more complicated, you need to go to the lab because the process uses machines and the liquid used is C41 type chemical liquid.

3. Slide film / positive film

This type of film is similar to color film, the resulting photos are also in color. The difference is that after washing, the image that appears in the photo can be seen immediately without needing to be scanned and inverted first. The fluid used is E6 chemical fluid. You can also wash with C41 liquid, but the cliche is the same as regular color film.
