Nowadays, the types of memory cards are increasingly developing. Let's get to know the types...
1. Mini SD and Micro SD
This type is a smaller type of memory, 21 x 21.5mm for mini SD and 11 x 15 x 1mm for micro SD. These two types of memory are suitable for use on smartphones and tablets. Usually, its use requires an adapter to connect to the SD slot. Despite its small size, this memory has a high transfer speed.
2. SDHC
SDHC stands for Secure Digital High-Capacity which is a further development of SD Card. SDHC was launched in 2007 with capacities ranging from 4GB to 32GB.
3. SDXC
SDXC or what is known as Secure Digital eXtended Capacity has appeared since 2009. The maximum capacity of SDXC starts from 64GB to 256GB. You can use this memory for more or less anything, videos, burst photo techniques, even heavy files.
Usually on micro SDHC there is a class marked with a circle icon and inside it there are numbers 2, 4, 6, or 10 which indicate the speed of the micro SD.
Each memory card has a different maximum transfer speed.
Class 0: Does not have a specific minimum transfer rate capability.
Class 2: Has a minimum transfer rate of 2 MB/s, the lowest speed for micro SDHC. This type is good for recording videos with quality below High Definition video.
Class 4: Has a minimum transfer rate of 4MB/s. This type is good for recording videos with HD to FullHD quality.
Class 6: Has a minimum transfer rate of 6MB/s. This type is good for recording videos with HD to FullHD quality.
Class 10: Has a minimum transfer rate of 10MB/s. This type is good for recording videos with FullHD quality.
UHS: Ultra High Speed which can reach 312MB/s. This type is good for recording videos of a larger size and for a longer time.
