Get to know EXIF Data / Metadata

EXIF data, which stands for Exchangeable Image File , is data that contains information about a photo . Every photo in JPEG or TIFF format has this EXIF data. Usually it contains exposure information such as shutter speed, ISO, aperture, white balance, metering, date and time of shooting, and lens focal length, which you cannot get if you use an analog camera.

There are several ways to view EXIF data:
1. You can look directly at the camera by pressing the info button.
2. If you are using a Windows computer, you can right click on the photo file, select properties > summary.
3. If you use a Mac, you can see it by right clicking > get info.

EXIF data is useful for evaluating our photos so that we can study errors or shortcomings in a photo. If you see a good photo on a photo sharing site, you can also study this EXIF data by looking at the settings used on the photo. Even some of the latest cameras are equipped with GPS, you can get information about where the photo was taken.
